Kaleyra is now part of Tata Communications, and kaleyra.com redirects there. It publishes no WhatsApp prices, and its developer docs sit behind a login, so most rows below read "not published". WhaBuzz publishes its price and docs. Kaleyra is the stronger choice for SMS, voice and enterprise support in India.

## What could we not confirm about Kaleyra?

Most of it. We requested kaleyra.com and it returned a permanent redirect to tatacommunications.com/kaleyra. The Tata Communications WhatsApp page, which describes the product, shows no prices and no SLA, only a "Talk To An Expert" button. Requesting developers.kaleyra.com redirected to a login page, so the API shape, retry policy and webhook signing could not be read without an account.

One public document does mention money. Kaleyra's general terms and conditions say:

> The Charges are quoted in Euro (EUR), including, where applicable, value added tax.
>
> Source: [Kaleyra terms and conditions](https://www.tatacommunications.com/legal/kaleyra-terms-conditions)

That is a general clause, not a WhatsApp rate card, and we did not read a WhatsApp-specific agreement. Treat it as a hint that quotes may be in euros, and confirm in writing. We have not guessed at anything else. If you are a Kaleyra customer and can share public facts, write to support@whabuzz.com and we will correct this page.

## When should you pick Kaleyra?

Pick Kaleyra if India SMS and voice sit alongside WhatsApp. The Tata Communications page lists SMS, WhatsApp, MMS, RCS, programmable voice, video, email and chatbots, and cites 190+ countries on its global voice network. It also lists "Meta Premier Partner FY26" status. Those are the strengths of a large carrier-backed group with a long track record, which WhaBuzz, live since 16 Oct 2026, does not have.

Pick Kaleyra if you want a contract, account management and a vendor your procurement team already knows. The WhatsApp page describes interactive messages, buttons, templates and quick replies, and a console for importing contacts and scheduling bulk sends.

## When should you pick WhaBuzz?

Pick WhaBuzz if you want to read the price and the docs before you talk to anyone. The flat fee is on the [pricing page](https://docs.whabuzz.com/pricing/): ₹500 a month for the first number, ₹250 for each after, excluding GST, with a 14-day trial. Meta's charges go to your own Meta account at Meta's rate. For context, Meta's rate card for India, effective 1 Oct 2026, lists utility messages at ₹0.115 and marketing at ₹0.8631 per message (Meta's pricing page).

Pick it if you want Meta's request and response bodies, signed webhooks and replay, all documented in the open: [webhooks](https://docs.whabuzz.com/guides/webhooks/), [errors](https://docs.whabuzz.com/errors/). Be clear on the limits: no inbox, no campaign builder, no chatbot builder, no SMS or voice. ## How do you move from Kaleyra to WhaBuzz?

Start with who owns the WhatsApp Business Account. If it is in your own Meta Business Manager, WhaBuzz connects to it and your approved templates sync across. If Kaleyra holds it, ask for a transfer or use Meta's number migration. The steps, including cutover and the short gap in inbound delivery, are in the [migration guide](https://docs.whabuzz.com/guides/migrating/). That guide names Plivo and WATI; the steps apply to any provider.

We cannot give field-by-field notes for Kaleyra's send format or its callbacks, because we cannot read its docs. Open your own Kaleyra docs, map each send to Meta's body, and test in the WhaBuzz sandbox with test keys first.
