Comparison
WhaBuzz vs AiSensy
AiSensy is a no-code WhatsApp platform with a chatbot builder, campaigns and prepaid message credits, aimed at teams that do not want to write code. WhaBuzz is an API for developers: Meta's own request bodies, a flat ₹500 a month for the first number, nothing per message. Pick by who will operate it.
How do WhaBuzz and AiSensy compare?
| WhaBuzz | AiSensy | |
|---|---|---|
| Who bills Meta's charges | Meta bills you directly on your own Meta account | Prepaid "WhatsApp Conversation Credits" recharged in AiSensy. Its FAQ says "These credits are charged directly by Meta", so the billing path is unclear from the page |
| Markup on Meta's rate | None. WhaBuzz never sees Meta's charges | Not published. AiSensy lists ₹1.09 for marketing and ₹0.145 for utility, authentication and service; Meta's INR rate card lists ₹0.8631 and ₹0.115. The page does not explain the gap |
| Provider's own fee | ₹500 a month first number, ₹250 each after, plus 18% GST | Paid core plan prices not published in the page text; chatbot builder ₹2,500 a month, AI agent builder ₹1,350 a month, virtual number ₹2,000 a year plus GST. A Free Forever plan is mentioned |
| API shape | Meta's /messages body plus from | Own endpoint POST https://backend.aisensy.com/campaign/t1/api/v2 with apiKey, campaignName, destination, templateParams in the body; the campaign must be "Live" |
| Webhook signing and retries | HMAC-SHA256 signature, retries over 24 hours, replay | Webhook API is documented on a separate page; signing and retries not published on the pages checked |
| Scope | API only: no inbox, no campaign builder, no chatbot builder | Drag-and-drop chatbot builder, Shopify chatbot integration, catalogue sharing, AI agent add-on |
| Region and data residency | Cloudflare Asia-Pacific region | Not published |
| Pricing transparency | Public flat fee, free 14-day trial | Per-message rates and add-ons public; core plan prices not published in page text |

When should you pick AiSensy?
Pick AiSensy when the people running WhatsApp are marketers or support staff, not developers. It gives you a chatbot builder, keyword and Meta-ad triggers, catalogue sharing and an AI agent, none of which WhaBuzz offers. Per its pricing page, every number also gets 1,000 free service messages a month from 1 Oct 2026, which suits low-volume support.
It also fits teams that want one vendor for the whole job: onboarding, templates, flows and billing in one dashboard. WhaBuzz has no inbox and no builder, so a team without developers would have nothing to use.
When should you pick WhaBuzz?
Pick WhaBuzz when you already have software that should send WhatsApp messages: an order system, a booking tool, a SaaS product. You send Meta's bodies unchanged, so Meta's own reference is your reference. Errors come back verbatim in error, with source: "meta", and every response carries a request_id.
You also get a fixed bill. The fee is ₹500 a month for the first number whatever you send, and Meta's charges go to your own Meta account at Meta's rate. If you send tens of thousands of messages a month, a flat fee is easier to forecast than a credit wallet. WhaBuzz went live on 16 Oct 2026, so it has no long track record yet.
How do you move from AiSensy to WhaBuzz?
Your send code changes: AiSensy takes a campaign name and a list of templateParams, while WhaBuzz takes Meta's template body with components[].parameters[]. Chatbot flows, campaigns and contact lists do not move, so rebuild what you need in your own system. Templates and the number can carry over if the WhatsApp Business Account is yours.
Follow the steps in the migration guide. The same approach is described for another provider in moving from Plivo.
